Hi Maureen!

Andy and I took our gift card to a restaurant the other day, only to find out that it had gone out of business. After driving around for a while, I remembered a rather new place close to where I work...Boomerang's Gourmet Burgers on Clairemont Dr. While it is not cheap (around $10 for a burger, 3 mix-ins, and a side), the quality of the beef is excellent, and the sweet potato fries (I ask for mine extra crispy) are terrific.

I'm glad you had a great time in Vienna!

I agree that Jacks offers terrific value. I highly recommend the Chorizo and Jalapeno pizza on the bottom floor. Served as a manageable portion - with spicy chorizo, dripping cheese, and crispy crust - it is one of the top pizzas in La Jolla, if not San Diego. I suggest pairing it with an icy Stella Artois for a Thursday night treat.

I'm Sorry but you have it all wrong... Its still great food with the freshest ingredients money can buy, and its not El Bulli or even MoTo. If you prefer elaborated food with complexity is not a place for you. Don't go there If you want Steak and potatoes. Have you been in lately? Go Check it out its not a science Lab its Michelin quality food I think, and stop bad mouthing "molecular gastronomy" something you have no clue about.

P.S. What's with the picture of the chef, You must have an issues
